Basically the 4.2 is lighter than the 2.7T but slightly more of it is hanging on the front axles. I can't wait till he posts a video of it.

I'm not well versed in Audi, all I remember is a friend having a diesel A4 of that vintage and it used to be squealing the tyres at pretty standard speeds in turns. May have just been a mix of shit tyres and the diesel was probably quite a heavy engine.

Ha didn't even notice those! I'm pretty sure he traded his 09 A5 2.0t or sold his Alfas (very small chance) to get it. And he's a very able mechanic (hence the Alfas) so he'll be doing his own work.

rather have the 2.7, it may be a maintenance queen but it easier to make big power from. The 4.2s are pretty handicapped as the only real power adder is a pricey supercharger. They do sound glorious though.

You dont have tobremove the frontnend for any service that the engine stays in the car.

For the timing belt it goes into "service position" which pulls the front end out a little bit for extra clearance.

It does such though (my car needs itsoon :'{

ahhh, those fucking hood pins though!!! My friend has one of these cars(no swap, but bigger turbos I believe.). They are awesome. That all wheel drive will launch like nobody's business.

The whole point of the masochism of owning a B5 S4 was the twin turbos and failing LED readout on the dash. Now he just has to worry about a timing chain at the back of the engine (depending on the vintage of the 4.2.)

I so want one, again.
